A hand splint is used to fix the carpal joint to the lower third of the forearm. It is made of modern multi-layer material and reinforced with a rigid wide profiled tire with an angle of 60º to the hand relative to the forearm, located along the palm. The tutor provides external, semi-rigid dosed fixation of the distal third of the forearm and the carpocarpal joint in a functionally advantageous position, and also relieves the above-mentioned joints. Due to good fixing properties, the tutor can be used as an immobilization splint. It provides speed and convenience when putting on and ease of access to the problem area, which makes it easier to receive physiotherapeutic procedures and significantly expands the possibility of its use.

The design features of the tutor ensure a uniform effect on the carpal joint, helping to reduce swelling and speed up recovery. A belt with a Velcro fastener allows you to adjust the pressure on the joint area in case of swelling, if necessary, to move the fingers of the hand to carry out the necessary medical measures.

Indications for use:

• Injury of ligaments and tendons of the carpal joint;
• Injuries and conditions after operations on the carpal joint;
• Instability of the radiocarpal joint of light and medium degree (habitual dislocation);
• Traumatic neuropathies of peripheral nerves (in particular, tunnel syndrome and styloiditis);
• Chronic inflammatory diseases of the carpal joint (arthrosis, arthritis of rheumatic origin);
• Prevention of flexion contractures of the hand;
• Increased sports and industrial loads on the carpal joint.

Contraindications:

• The first three days of an acute injury;
• Acute purulent inflammatory diseases;
• Diseases in which hyperthermia is contraindicated;
• Neoplastic diseases in the area of ​​application of the tutor.

People with sensitive skin should wear a tutor over underwear that fits tightly to the body;

If any physical discomfort or irritation occurs, you should immediately stop using the tutor and consult a doctor about the possibility of its further use.
