An ankle brace (derotational boot) is a complex structure that is placed on the lower third of the lower leg to the toes of the affected leg. It has the appearance of an open structure in the form of a boot, to which a cross bar is attached, which prevents the rotation of the foot and the entire leg to the right and left, and additional fixing straps keep the foot from bending up and down, hence this design got its name. DS-1 (derotation boot) is a complex design that is applied to the lower third of the lower leg to the toes of the injured leg. The derotation boot is made of modern multi-layer material with an inner layer of cotton fabric and is equipped with a rigid plate with 3 metal modeled stiffening ribs, a system of fasteners and belts with textile fasteners - velcro, allows you to firmly fix the ankle and prevent rotation of the foot. An anti-bedsore cushion with a hole is provided under the heel.

The purpose of this design is to prevent the boot from dislocating bone fragments in the area of ​​the fractured neck of the hip joint. Since the bone fragments do not move, it means that a bone callus is formed faster and the fracture heals faster and the patient will get back on his feet faster! Applying a derotation boot is used in those cases when the patient has serious contraindications for surgical treatment, in particular hip joint replacement with various metal structures.

Indications for use:

Temporary immobilization for femoral neck fracture and diaphysis fracture;

Ankle and foot injuries;

After surgery on the shin, ankle or middle of the foot;

Fractures of the neck and trochanteric region of the thigh;

Rehabilitation period after hip arthroplasty;

Paresis and paralysis of the lower limbs of various genesis;

Rehabilitation period after strokes and focal lesions of lower limb nerves.

Contraindications:

• Acute purulent inflammatory diseases;
• Neoplastic diseases in the area of ​​application of the tutor.
