Orthopedic device for the knee art. K-1 is made of multi-layer material with an inner layer of 100% cotton fabric, equipped with monocentric hinges located on the side surfaces and two parallel straps with textile fasteners in the lower third of the thigh and upper third of the leg. The orthosis provides external semi-rigid fixation of the knee joint, relieves its capsular ligament apparatus and stabilizes the patella. The presence of metal hinges allows the knee joint to perform only block-like movement (flexion-extension) and excludes the possibility of overextension.

Tightly fitting to the joint, metal hinges take part of the axial load, and part of it is transferred to adjacent healthy areas. The removable design makes it easier to put on the orthosis in case of severe swelling of the joint and over bandages, provides quick access to the knee joint, allowing to perform bandages and other medical procedures, is optimally suitable for a significant difference in the leg circumferences above and below the knee. The orthosis is ideal for use on both legs at the same time.

Detachable design of the knee brace allows you to fix the knee joint and patella as effectively as possible with limited mobility of the joint, excess weight and swelling of the joint. The orthosis significantly reduces the impact load on the knee joint when walking.

Indications for use:

Rehabilitation period after knee joint immobilization after injuries (including sports ones) and operational interventions; After arthroscopy; Rehabilitation period after uncomplicated fractures of the condyles of the tibia and femur, intercondylar elevation of the tibia; Rehabilitation period after uncomplicated osteochondropathies: Osgood-Schlatter's disease, Koenig's disease; Exacerbation of arthrosis of the knee joint; Hemophilic hemarthrosis, as a component of complex therapy, to prevent the development of hemophilic arthropathies; To relieve the knee joint in the presence of post-traumatic changes, arthrosis phenomena in the anamnesis; Prevention of pathological positioning of the lower limb with moderate valgus or varus deviation of the lower leg.

Contraindications:

• The first three days of an acute injury;
• Acute purulent inflammatory diseases;
• Neoplastic diseases in the field of orthosis application.

Warnings:

• Individual intolerance of materials;
• Diseases in which hyperthermia is contraindicated;
• Skin disease (in the area of ​​orthosis application);
• If physical discomfort or irritation occurs, you should immediately consult a doctor about the possibility of further use of the orthosis.
